Patrick J. Wood
Patrick J. Wood is a Founder of the law firm Wood & Delgado and has been representing medical professionals for 32 years. Mr. Wood received his B.A. degree from UCLA and his JD degree from Southwestern University. He was admitted to practice law in California in 1978, and is also admitted in Texas and Colorado.
The firm’s primary emphasis is on lease reviews, associateships, corporations, partnerships and related transactions. The firm also specializes in Veterinary Medical Board defense, estate planning for veterinarians and employment law issues.
Mr. Wood has lectured extensively at state conventions, local societies, and schools. He currently delivers approximately 20 practice transition seminars throughout the country each year. His firm negotiates over 190 office leases and is involved in approximately 200 practice sales each year. He has written numerous articles that have been published throughout the nation.
Jason P. Wood
Jason Patrick Wood is a partner in the Law Firm of Wood & Delgado. Jason’s primary emphasis is on business transactions for veterinarians: leases, purchase agreements, partnership agreements, shareholders agreements, corporations, associate agreements and other business-related legal needs. He has authored many articles relative to the business side of various medical professions which have appeared in nation and statewide publications. He is a moderator on various medical blogs and publications. Jason enjoys helping and educating doctors throughout the United States. Prior to joining Wood & Delgado, Jason worked in Washington, D.C. for the Speaker of the House in connection with Presidential and U.S. Congressional campaigns and thereafter he worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, drafting legislation for various House committees.
Charles X. Delgado
Following Mr. Delgado’s admission to the California and Hawaii Bar Associations in 1972, he served for seven years as a California Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division where he represented major business regulatory agencies for the State of California, including the Department of Real Estate, Board Examiners and the Department of Corporations. Mr. Delgado later had positions with the Hahn Company, a major west coast regional shopping center developer, and as Vice President and General Counsel for Ferguson Partners, an Irvine- based real estate development company. Mr. Delgado has been working with veterinarians during his 15 years with Wood & Delgado, with primary emphasis on business litigation, partnership disputes, Veterinary Medical Board defense, insurance defense and ancillary litigation matters.
He is a graduate of University of San Francisco and of Loyola University Law School.
