CORPORATE FORMATION/DISSOLUTION

Being a veterinarian requires you to comply with complex statutes designed to protect the public from non-licensed individuals holding themselves out as veterinarians. As a result, in many states, you cannot be a Limited Liability Company, or Limited Liability Partnership, or a general corporation. Our firm has extensive experience representing veterinarians in their entity formation, ensuring that the individual complies with all statutes and regulations so that (i) the veterinarian is not accused by their state Veterinary Medical Board of non-compliance and (ii) the veterinarian receives the liability and tax protections which corporate formations allow. Please note that if you are set up improperly, even if you do not know that you are, you will generally not have the liability protection needed to protect your personal assets from litigation.
